Q: What’s the vibe of your Super 8 and vintage camcorder videos?
A: Think nostalgic, dreamy, and emotional. These videos are all about capturing the feeling of your day — the glances, movement, color, and chaos — with a retro edge. Whether it’s the timeless grain of Super 8 film or the glitchy, home-video charm of a 90s camcorder, the goal isn’t perfection; it’s personality.
Q: Do you record audio, vows, or speeches?
A: We don’t mic anyone up, and we don’t record full-length vows or speeches. You might hear snippets of laughter, music playing, or a few heartfelt lines in the background, but these films are mostly visual storytelling with a carefully chosen soundtrack. If you're looking for full ceremony or speech audio, we recommend hiring a traditional videographer alongside.
Q: How long is the final film?
A: Super 8 films are 4-6 minutes of video and the camcorder is 7-15 minutes of video.
Q: What happens if the film gets damaged during processing?
A. While rare, if film damage occurs, we’ll notify you immediately and discuss options. To minimize risk, we use trusted labs for processing.
Q: Can I use this instead of a traditional wedding video?
A: That depends on what you're looking for! If you want a romantic, artistic time capsule that feels like it could've come out of your childhood home movies or your parents' wedding archives — this is perfect. If you're hoping for full ceremony coverage or crystal-clear audio of your vows, this works best in addition to a more traditional video package.

Q: What’s the difference between Super 8 and vintage camcorder?
- Super 8 is actual film — it’s grainy, cinematic, soft, and timeless. It gets developed and scanned like old movie film.
- Vintage camcorder is 90s-style digital tape — raw, real, slightly chaotic, and full of glitchy charm. It looks like something your uncle might’ve filmed on an old VHS tape — in the best way.
Q: Can I choose the music?
A: We usually select music that fits the feel of the footage and your day — something that evokes the mood and energy. But if you have a song that really means something to you, we're always open to chatting about it!
are you insured?
Yes! We can provide you with a certificate of insurance if you or the venue would like to see it.
How many hours of photography do we need?
It really depends on what you want photographed. We have a blog post you can read to help you figure out exactly how many hours of coverage is best for you. Typically, couples want us there from the tail end of getting ready to at least the first hour of open dancing to provide them with the best coverage of their wedding day. For this example, you'd want 8 hours.
So you shoot film too?
Yes! We shoot 3-4 rolls of film per wedding so you'll have a mix of digital and film photos. Though I try to edit my digital photos to look like film, there's just no way to perfectly replicate its uniqueness. Nothing beats it, period.
what do we get?
We will email you a link to an online gallery that will have both the full-resolution (best for printing) and Web-resolution (best for online/social sharing) images. You will be able to share with family, download, order albums and prints directly from your gallery, or do whatever you want with them! We do not guarantee a specific number of photos because every couple and session is different. But put it this way: 400 bangers always beats 1,000 half-assed ones.
Do you charge for travel?
Depends. The first 100 miles (total) from 02019 are free, and anything over is a standard $1/mile. This applies to engagement shoots as well. Please let us know if you have any questions about this!
We're ready to book! Now what?
Awesome! Now let's see if we're a good fit. First, fill out the contact form, and we'll send over our pricing guide. To secure your date, we do require a 50% deposit and a signed contract. We book on a first-come, first-served basis, and often have many inquiries for the same date, so reach out as soon as possible!
