September Doves by Lost Dog Street Band
These two beautiful SOBs rented a cabin-van, which we learned is a thing, and drove down from Canada to the States for a pre-marriage road trip, during which they eloped here in Massachusetts. That’s where we came in: a post-marriage Cape Cod photo session, consisting of lanterns and tattoos and walks on a secluded beach in Falmouth (a place Anna and I go every year with the kids because it’s just straight-up the best beach on the Cape) and cork-popping and dusk-swimming. If you’re looking for a secluded beach for your Cape Cod elopement with a couple of MA documentary wedding photographers, hit us up!
Reb did her own makeup and made her own floral crown from flowers she bought at Stop and Shop! The vibe and goal of the day was just chill and very relaxed. Cape Cod is a really beautiful place to elope in the summer since it’s not super hot, it’s very tropical looking, but obviously if you’re local then it’s a budget option.
Reb and Max trusted our work process: we wanted them to hang out together, not to worry so much about poses, not to worry about what they looked like, and to let us just observe and capture the real moments as they happened, on digital and film. (Okay, fine, we did prompt Max to chase Reb and pick her up, but how could we not? That one is too much fun!)
I’m trying to think of another couple Anna and I have meshed with as well as we did with Reb and Max. I mean, we’re on texting terms with them now and are going to hang out just for funsies on their next trip to the US, so…you do the math. (Hint: The answer is 103.)
(What am I even talking about now?)
