So, you’re getting married. That’s exciting! And guess what? You get a complementary engagement session with us—completely included in your wedding package. But before you start stressing about outfits, poses, or anything that sounds remotely like a Pinterest checklist… don’t.
This isn’t a stiff, awkward photoshoot. You’re not here to “perform” for the camera. This session is a chance for you two to hang out, be yourselves, and actually enjoy each other’s company. Our goal? To capture the way you laugh together, the way you look at each other when you think no one’s watching, and all the little moments that make your relationship yours.

What This Session Is (and Isn’t)
✔ It’s about you two being yourselves—whether that means grabbing ice cream, walking your dog, making a late-night coffee run, or dancing in your kitchen.
✔ It’s a chance to shake off any camera nerves before your wedding day.
✔ It’s a way for us to connect so that when your wedding comes, you’re already comfortable with us documenting the day.
❌ It’s NOT about stiff poses, outfit rules, or looking “perfect.”
❌ It’s NOT a test run for your wedding photos. This is its own, unique experience.

What Should You Do to “Prepare”?
Honestly? Not much. Just show up ready to have fun and enjoy an hour or two with your favorite person. But if you like to feel a little prepared, here are some things to think about:
1. Choose a Spot That Feels Like You
I don’t shoot engagement sessions in random fields just because they’re pretty (unless you two actually love frolicking in fields, in which case, let’s do it). Instead, let’s pick a location that means something to you:
- The coffee shop where you had your first date
- Your favorite hiking trail
- Your apartment, where you make pancakes on Sunday mornings
- The record store you always browse together
If there’s somewhere that’s your place, let’s go there. And if you have no idea, don’t worry—we DO.

2. Dress Like Yourself (Seriously, No Rules Here)
Wear something that makes you feel good and move freely. That’s it. Want to dress up? Cool. Want to show up in your everyday jeans and sneakers? Also cool. My only suggestion: choose something that feels like “you” so that when you look at these photos, you see yourself, not a styled-up version of you that doesn’t feel real.
3. Come Ready to Be in the Moment
Forget the camera is there. Don’t overthink where to put your hands or how to stand. The best photos happen when you’re just being together—laughing, talking, joking, goofing off. So lean into that.
Want to grab a drink before? Go for it. Want to bring a playlist of songs you love? Do it. This session is about having a genuinely good time with your person—the photos are just a byproduct of that.

What Happens After the Session?
Within 72 2hours or so, I’ll send you sneak peeks so you can get a taste of what we captured. The full gallery will be ready within 4-6 weeks.
But more than just photos, we hope this session helps you feel excited and relaxed about having us document your wedding day. Because by then, we won’t just be photographer and clients—we’ll be people who’ve already shared a great experience together.
Final Thoughts? Just Show Up & Have Fun
No pressure. No expectations. No posing classes required. Just you two, being yourselves, and me there to capture it all. Can’t wait to hang out and make some magic.
