A Relaxed Wedding Focused on Friends and Family

Paige and Kyle built their day around spending as much time as possible with the people they love during their wedding at Mayflower Society House. They weren’t worried about squeezing in every Pinterest trend or disappearing for hours to take photos. They wanted to chill with their fam and friends, eat good food (pizzzzaaa) and be surrounded by everyone they care about at the Mayflower Society House in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

One of the things that was really important to Paige and Kyle was actually getting to enjoyyy their wedding day. They wanted photos that still felt really cool and creative, but they didn’t want to spend half the day posing for them or performing for the photos.
Paige had zero interest in spending an hour sitting in a clawfoot tub or recreating Pinterest photos. She wanted to hang out with her girls and actually be present for everything happening around her. Kyle’s morning was the same. He spent it just hanging out with his guys and family, taking it easy before walking down the aisle. They had an airbnb for the guys getting ready a couple of blocks away and once they all got ready, they walked over to the venue.
Our favorite way to photograph a wedding is to be as chill as possible, observing the interactions and then making art of that. We’d rather document your day as it’s actually happening than pull you away from it every twenty minutes.
Pizza Instead of a Formal Dinner
Paige and Kyle wanted their wedding to feel more like a dinner party with their favorite people than a traditional wedding reception. Instead of a formal plated dinner, they had Montilio’s cater the evening with wood-fired pizza, complete with on-site pizza ovens and a buffet. It was the perfect fit for the laid-back atmosphere of the Mayflower Society House. Guests grabbed slices throughout the evening, gathered around tables to chat, and spent more time connecting than waiting for the next event on the timeline. The whole reception felt less like a formal wedding and more like a backyard pizza party with the people they love most.
